Final Down Memory Lane ‘Bonjour Tristesse’ Thursday 6 November
Set in France in 1958 and starring David Niven and Deborah Kerr, the New York Magazine proclaimed it as “one of the most gorgeous films ever made”. The film is about the havoc wrought when a jaded 17 year old, played by Jean Seberg, begins manipulating her playboy father’s love life. David Niven as the careless roué and Deborah Kerr as the elegant new object of his affections share the screen with stunning vistas of an idyllic French Riviera and more melancholy black and white views of a lovely but chilly Paris. Doors open at 9.45, music by Springtide from 10am and movie starts at 10.30am.
