Last film society film and AGM at the James next Sunday

Last film society film for 2013, ‘Mud’, is next Sunday 17 November at 7pm but come for a glass of champagne and some nibbles at 5.30pm followed by the Friends AGM. ‘Mud’ is set in the delta of the Mississippi in Arkansas where 14 year old Ellis and his mate Neckbone  find a boat up a tree  inhabited by Mud, a man on the run from the police and from bounty hunters. This is such a lovely film with stunning performances by the two boys and Matthew McConaughey as Mud. This tale of a young man encountering adventures and some tough life lessons is a joy.
